2026 Jefferson County Dairy Parade Announces Theme and Opens Registration for Parade Entries

Watertown, New York – Organizers of the 2026 Jefferson County Dairy Parade are excited to announce the official theme for this year’s parade: “Farming, the Heart of America!”

The annual Jefferson County Dairy Parade will take place on Friday, June 5, 2026, in downtown Watertown, celebrating the vital role agriculture plays in the local economy, community, and everyday life across Northern New York. Each year, between 6,000 and 8,000 spectators line Washington Street to enjoy one of the region’s most anticipated family-friendly traditions.

The 2026 parade promises another exciting evening filled with marching bands, agricultural floats, fire trucks, entertainers, community organizations, and special attractions designed to celebrate Jefferson County’s proud farming heritage while providing fun for all ages.

Organizers are now officially inviting businesses, farms, schools, civic groups, nonprofits, musical groups, and community organizations to participate in this year’s parade. Registration is now open for parade entries.

“This parade is about celebrating the hardworking farm families and agricultural businesses that are the backbone of our community,” said parade organizers. “Our 2026 theme, Farming, the Heart of America, reflects the importance of agriculture not only here in Jefferson County, but across the nation.”

The Jefferson County Dairy Parade showcases the region’s $3.9 billion agricultural industry while highlighting the people, products, and traditions that make Northern New York agriculture so important.

Those interested in entering a float, marching unit, decorated vehicle, musical group, or other parade attraction are encouraged to register early to reserve their place in the lineup.
